So you want to contribute to Harpo's, but you're as broke as the Ten Commandments. We could always use old magazines, books, tapes, DVDs, and so on. Perhaps you've got some old magazines lying around the house, or you have an extra copy of a film, or you know of a thrift store or Goodwill that sells books for cheap. If it's about black movies, plays, etc., then rest assured that we can use it.

By no means are we asking anyone to come out of pocket for brand new stuff. Quite the contrary; if you're going to buy things, we encourage you to buy used products. If you can make a copy of a DVD or tape, that's even better. If you know how to make a short (or long) clip from a DVD or tape, just email it to us; no need to waste the postage. All media can be shipped by media mail, which is the cheapest way to send things through the post office. If you're going to order something off eBay, ALWAYS be sure to ask the seller what the price of shipping is if it's not listed in the auction! (True story: I forgot to do that once and paid $20 on a POSTER that cost all of $4 to ship.)

Our wish list is of stuff that we're actively searching for; if you have a copy or are willing to buy one, we will name our kids after you.
