Boyz N the Hood
From Harpo's Juke Joint
Boyz N the Hood is the cinematic debut of director John Singleton. The film grossed over $50 million in less than two months, and launched the careers of several young black actors. In 2002, Boyz was inducted into the National Film Registry for preservation in the Library of Congress. A 2-disc DVD was released in September 2003.
